Penentuan Dose Enhancement Factor (DEF) Linac 6 Mv Dan Penangkapan Radikal Hidroksil Oleh Nanopartikel CeO2

ABSTRACT
The CeO2 nanoparticles have received considerable attention due to their excellent catalytic activity that can mutate rapidly from oxidation between Ce4+ and Ce3+. In addition, the presence of vacuum engineering in the presence of 4 (+) charge on cerium oxide can protect cells in vitro, so that CeO2 nanoparticles have antioxidant and efficient properties as radioprotectors. The aims of this study are to synthesize CeO2 nanoparticles, determine the activity of radical hydroxyl, and determine the value of dose elevation factor (DEF) of CeO2 nanoparticles. The CeO2 nanoparticles have been synthesized by heating methods at 500ºC for 2 hours. The CeO2 nanoparticle powder was characterized using UV-Vis and FTIR spectrometers to look at optical properties and prove CeO2 nanoparticle functional groups in synthesized samples. The hydroxyl radical scavenging activity was obtained by calculating the average of% hydroxyl by the CeO2 nanoparticles at an elevation of 0.005 mg / mL; 0.01 mg / mL; 0.02 mg / mL; 0.04 mg / mL and 0.06 mg / mL. The hydroxyl radical is formed from the Fenton reaction between Fe2+ and H2O2 in the rhodamine B dye service (RhB). Dose enhancement factor (DEF) CeO2 nanoparticles were obtained by comparing the absorbent price of NaCl solution without the addition of CeO2 nanoparticles with NaCl solution with the addition of CeO2 nanoparticles at the same concentration as the count of hydroxyl radical scavenging activity. The UV-Vis characterization results show that CeO2 nanoparticles can absorb UV light with the highest absorbance peak at 301 nm wavelength. From the absorbance spectrum that can be gained by the band gap value of CeO2 nanoparticles is 3.49 eV. The FTIR characterization results show from the CeO2 nanoparticle functional groups at the absorbance peak of 854 cm-1 and 492 cm1. CeO2 Nanoparticles with a concentration of 0.02 mg / mL showed a hydroxyl radical activity of up to 96.4% and a DEF value of 0.951. These results indicate the potential of CeO2 nanoparticles as radioprotector of a 6 MV Linac photon file.
