Abstract
Selective adsorption of Ionic Imprinted Polymer (IIP) Fe(III) metal ions using polyeugenol with template variation and crosslinker concentration. Synthesis of IIP template variation are used Fe(NO3)3, K3[Fe(CN)6] and NH4Fe(SO4)2. Synthesis IIP variation of crosslinker concentration PEGDE (Polyethylene glycol diglycidilether) mole ratio 1:2:3. IIP is method of printing metal ions in polymer then released from polymer matrix resulted compatible target ion mold. This study aims are produce IIP from polyeugenol with Fe(III) template variation of Fe(NO3)3, K3[Fe(CN)6] and NH4Fe(SO4)2, IIP and NIP (Non Imprinted Polymer) from polyeugenol with variation of crosslinker concentration PEGDE (Polyethylene glycol diglycidilether) mole ratio 1: 2: 3, discover effect of template type and crosslinker concentration for adsorption selectivity IIP involved imprint cavity, discover effect of competitor metals Cr, Cd and Pb for adsorption selectivity IIP Fe metal ions. The results obtained were adsorption selectivity of Fe (III) metal ions in the Fe(NO3)3 template is greater than K3[Fe(CN)6] and NH4Fe(SO4)2 template. Adsorption selectivity of Fe (III) metal ions with PEDGE 3 mole crosslinker concentration was greater than crosslinker concentration PEGDE 1 and 2 mol. The adsorption selectivity is greater in Fe-Cr compared with Fe-Cd and Fe-Pb. SEM analysis results show IIP has smaller pores than Polyeugenol and Polyeugenol-Fe-PEGDE. The surface area analysis at 3 mol of crosslinker concentration was Polyeugenol = 87.312 m2/g; NIP 3 mol = 37.635 m2/g and IIP 3 mol = 0.000 m2/g indicated a decrease surface area in IIP due to reorganization.
