Modifikasi Zeolit Alam Menggunakan Tetrametilammonium Klorida (TMACl) Untuk Adsorbsi Logam Cu (II) 546
ABSTRACT
Modification of natural zeolite by using tetramethylammonium chloride (TMACl)
has been done. Modification carried out through two step, the first zeolite activation by
using hydrochloric acid 3 N and then refluxed in TMACl solution at 70oC. The product
was characterized by using FTIR spectrophotometer and surface area analyzer (SAA).
Zeolite’s adsorptivity on Cu (II) solution determinated at various pH 2-6, contact time 2-20
minutes, ratio adsorbent adsorbate 0,1-1 % and concentration 500-2000 ppm. It was
concluded that adsorbent has the different optimum condition, adsorptivity of zeoliteTMA lower than active zeolite.
